The Inertia Project

Hey there, beautiful! Have you ever caught yourself saying anything like this?

I freeze up every time I go to the gym. I just go and do the treadmill and abs because I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing.”

“Honestly, I get embarrassed at the gym. I feel like I’m walking into dude alley and I feel REALLY out of place and awkward.”

“I really want to get fit, but I don’t even know where to begin. How do I make my own routine? Am I doing workouts that even make sense? I don’t know!

If you feel like I just read your mind, it’s because I’ve said those exact things too.

Hey, I'm Genevieve. I’m the founder of The Inertia Project and I help go-getting ladies overcome their fear of the gym so they can have a body and life they love.

Before I get too far, let me shatter an illusion about me: I didn't always look like this. See for yourself:

Those pictures are from September 2014. You might look at those pictures and say that I don't look bad, but I was uncomfortable in my body.

My jeans were getting harder to put on (you know that pants-out-of-the-dryer dance when your jeans are just a bit too snug? Yep, that happened every day). I felt like my belt was constricting me when I sat down, and there was some belly roll action happening too.

I was frustrated because I felt like, as a former athlete, I SHOULD KNOW how to look good.

It took me a LONG time to figure out how to get my body to look like how I always wanted it to look. There were bumps along the way, but they showed me what's crucial to success, and what you can leave behind.

I know what you need to succeed.

Let's be honest, fitness can be confusing. Like really confusing.

It seems like every day there's a new article about the ultimate workout for toning your arms and the five best exercises to melt belly fat (which are different from the other article with the seven laws of fat loss), and how you're going to be fat forever if you eat carbs after 6 pm and, well, you get the idea.

Sometimes you just want someone there to guide you through the mess of information, make sense of it, and give you what you really need to know to succeed.

Instead of panicking when you step on the gym floor, picture this instead:

-          Walking into the gym with confidence and knowing exactly what to do – blanking out when your eyes hit the dumbbells is now a thing of the past.

-          Knowing how to structure your workouts, so that you have confidence that your workouts are effective. No more aimless wandering around!

-           Understanding what the different equipment is and how to work it.  Machines, barbells, and dumbbells FINALLY MAKE SENSE!

I want you look and feel marvelous. When you look and feel amazing, you radiate confidence and self-ownership. The best part about this it’s a continuous cycle - once it starts, the momentum keeps going.

If you're anything like me, you've got an unbeatable drive and determination. You’re ready to embark on a new path and are willing to take some leaps of faith to get there. You're not content to just sit still and watch the world go by.

You've found the right spot.

Side Hustle School, Episode 20: "Engineer Creates 'The Inertia Project' for Women"

Fun Fact: From the very beginning, Genevieve had a clear WHY for herself as well as a specific pathway for all of her potential clients.

Consider the project's mission statement: “to take women who feel vulnerable, lost, unhappy, or uncomfortable and gives them a realistic way to improve.” Her personal story reinforces this message—you clearly know who she is and why she’s qualified to help.
